
Christopher Ward has unveiled a pair new limited edition timepieces that are inspired by Great Britain's racing history. The British-designed, Swiss-made brand of watchmaking pays homage with the "C9 DB4 1VEV" model to the Aston Martin D84 GT Zagato that raced at Goodwood in 1961. Meanwhile, the C9 D-Type is a tribute to the Jaguar D-Type which won three Le Mans Championships between 1955 and 1957.

The rear panel has a piece taken from a DB4 Zagato original body panel. It also features the engraving "DB4 GT Zagato -1VEV-", an engine number, and a limited edition out of 19 numbers.

This second Christopher Ward timepiece pays tribute to British Racing History in a more affordable limited edition of only 55 pieces. This model was inspired by the Jaguar D-Type, one of the first sports vehicles to use aeronautical technologies to improve performance. Mike Hawthorne won the Le Mans championship in 1955, 1956 and 1957 with this iconic racecar. This model was only ever used for 18 racing cars.
